Thomas "Tom" L. Barton

Thomas Lynn Barton, age 68, of Licking, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on August 30, 2025. Born on March 28, 1957 in Mountain View, MO to Pauline (Stringer) and Elmer Barton. Thomas spent a lifetime surrounded by family, love, and devotion.

He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Linda Sue Barton, with whom he shared 49 years of deep partnership and unwavering love.

Thomas is survived by his wife Linda of the home; daughter,  Crystal and John; two sons Tommy and Bobby Barton and Jessica Owens; his cherished grandchildren, Megan, Makayla, Christopher, Trenton, Logan, Justin, Micaiah, Patricia, Jordan, Colton, Shayden, Waylon, Braxton, and Harleigh; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Barton and sisters, Paulette Shoults and husband James and Diane Morton and husband Steve as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Elmer Barton.

In his free time, Thomas enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, spending long summer days baling hay, and hosting barbeques for family and friends.

Thomas will be remembered for his generous spirit, tireless and constant loyalty to his family, and a heart full of love. His greatest joy came from being with family, whether through sharing stories, laughter, or creating lasting memories. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.

Thomas’ memory will continue to live on in all who knew him, carried forward through love, laughter, and the family he so deeply cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Tom's memory be made to Bradford Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
