Summersville

Wanda Jean (Holland) McAdams, was born to Oran Harrison Holland and Edna Lee (Vance) Holland, June 12, 1929 on Spring Valley in Summersville, Missouri.  She entered her heavenly home January 7, 2021 at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 26 days.  She was united in marriage to David Earl McAdams on June 12, 1948 at Mtn. View, Missouri.  They were blessed with two sons and one daughter, David Michael, Dennis Lee and Sandra Jean.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis; parents, Oran and Edna; sister Kathryn Bryant; brother-in-law, Wayne Bryant and one infant sister.

Jean professed Christ as her personal savior at a very early age and served the Lord faithfully to the end.  She was a member of Praise and Worship Church.  She loved to read her Bible and listen to Southern Gospel music and preaching.

She taught at Columba and Griffith Schools for a while. She ran the family restaurant and was also an EMT for the Summersville Ambulance.  Jean was the Summersville Elementary School secretary for 40 years when she retired in 2005.  She was known by all the kids as “Miss Jean.”

Jean never passed an opportunity to share Christ with people or help them in any way she could.  She loved to travel in her younger years and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She looked forward to her daily visits with Shiloh, Sawyer and Hunter for “Nana Jean’s ice cream cones.”

She was a very loving and giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.  She’s now reunited with her family in Heaven!

Surviving are her children: Mike McAdams and wife Karen; Sandy (McAdams) Smith and husband Kenny; daughter-in-law Martha McAdams; 7 grandchildren, Kayanna Walters and husband Stewart, Robert McAdams, Amanda Holmes and husband Aaron, Jennifer Seeman and husband Matthew, Julie Dunn and husband Ryan, Kalenna Wilson and husband Shan and Dusty Smith and wife Tanya; 13 great grandchildren, Seth Stiles, David and Lilly McAdams, Ryan and Landrie Seeman, Laken Davidson, Stuart Jr and Max Smith, Elizabeth and Jeremy Dunn, Shiloh Wilson and Sawyer and Hunter Smith; a special niece, Kathy Berry and two special nephews, Terry and Mark Bryant.
