On September 19, 1956, William Clarance Hogan and Alta Ruthene (Sykes) Hogan were blessed with a daughter, Wilma Gladys Hogan. Wilma was surrounded by her children, granddaughter Shae, sisters Shirley and Bev, and dear nieces Jessica and Sara when her Lord and Savior called her to his loving embrace in her heavenly home on February 14, 2020. Wilma walked our earth for 63 years 4 months and 26 days.
Wilma married Roger Stark on October 7, 1978. Together they raised Jodi, Erin, and Cody.
Wilma retired from South Central Correctional Center in 2017. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and yardsaling. She always had a pretty flower garden and in the summer you would find her floating the rivers with her family. What Wilma enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They all have treasured memories with Grandma Wilma that they will carry with them forever.
As a young child Wilma dedicated her life to The Lord. With a kind and loving heart she shared her faith with family, friends, and strangers. Wilma encouraged the people around her to attend church and follow in His word. She was an active and beloved member of Praise Assembly and dedicated to her church family and Pastor Arvel Schweighauser and his wife Brenda.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Roger; parents William and Alta; son-in-law Brad Kinserlow; brothers Bill Hogan and Kenny Enloe; brothers-in-law Junior, Dean, and Raymond Stark, Hans Shelton, Carl Tabor and Jim Barton; nephew Jason Shoults; and father and mother-in-law John and Rosie Stark.
